Fancy buying a bottle of vodka? Or maybe a tonne of ceramic tiles? Or how about a pair (or 18,000) of new shoes?
The Malta Customs Department have announced a “customs sale”, where they will auction off a large quantity of items seized by customs. This includes a whole enchilada of items – from reasonable to unthinkable – from underwear to an actual car (a Volkswagen Bora, by the way).
So, what do you need to do to put in an offer on your new favourite pair of underwear or a nice bottle of Gray Goose?
First, go and take a look at the items at Newport Bonded Stores, Marsa between 27 Feb and 2 March between 7.45am – 12.30pm or 1.15pm – 5.15pm. Then put in your offer by 3 March at 9am.
I’m not sure whether we’re going ‘all out’ on this one, but it would definitely be a fun idea to go and take a look, if even only for the entertainment value, to see what sort of things get confiscated on a daily basis!
